In 2013, Brian Rose was found not criminally responsible for killing his grandmother. He had shot her with a shotgun and burned her body in the backyard of her Brant Country home. 

After his NCR ruling, Rose has battled the schizophrenia that controlled his life and has become one of the province's strongest advocates for mental health awareness. 

I met him at the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences to talk about his story.
